(Amsterdam, November 2016) – Pulitzer Amsterdam, the newly opened luxury hotel stretching through 25 canal houses in Amsterdam’s chicest neighborhood, has launched brand new family programming following the final stage of a top-to-toe refurbishment. The hotel, which was originally run by the Pulitzer family, has welcomed families with open arms since its inception and will now give family’s additional reasons to visit Amsterdam and the hotel.
Families of all sizes will enjoy spacious accommodations at Pulitzer Amsterdam, including 24 connecting rooms. The unique Family Rooms and Family Suite comfortably fit a family of four, featuring one king bed and two twin beds and include complimentary daily breakfast. The Family Suite boasts stunning, picturesque canal views, multiple rooms, two bathrooms and a dining area to ensure that families find comfort and space throughout their entire stay. The new child-friendly rooms embellish original features alongside contemporary design, taking inspiration from the history of the canal houses, which form much of the city’s DNA and hold within them many tales and layers of discovery.
The Guest Relations team at the Pulitzer Amsterdam provides unique child-friendly gifts, experiences and tours specific for families. Complimentary children programming is offered based on a child’s age group including natural skincare amenities for babies, personalized surprises and activity books for toddlers and kids, and travel diaries for teens. Additional products and services are available upon request including a baby bath, baby monitors and bottle heaters, as well as nanny services, Xbox and board games.
Pulitzer Amsterdam’s new canal front restaurant, Jansz., offers a curated children’s menu with offerings including grilled chicken with glazed carrots and bimi; crispy fish and chips; and spaghetti with meatballs and marinara sauce. The Jansz. kitchen brigade uses an old-fashioned, quality-loving approach to create a menu of beautifully crafted modern classics that respect the simplicity of quality produce and ingredients and are to be enjoyed by guests of all ages. Additionally, children will be entertained with unique coloring sheets, which they can turn into the hostess at the end of the night in exchange for a gift from Mr. Jansz’s treasure box.
The crown jewel of the hotel is Pause at Pulitzer, a 13,000 sq. ft. unique garden space, unlike anything in the city. Following the property’s restoration, the tranquil garden has been transformed into a park-like hideaway. Children will enjoy unique design aspects including four giant swings surrounding hand carved wooden rocking horses that make up the playground portion of the space, with additional large garden areas to play. With its unrivaled location, the property makes family outings sealess, within easy reach of family attractions such as the NEMO Science Museum, Van Gogh Museum, ARTIS-Amsterdam Royal Zoo, Madame Tussauds and the National Maritime Museum.
